With more than a decade’s experience as a professional Physiotherapist, Yoga Instructor and Anatomy Educator, Stefanie Zimmermann possesses a unique skill set that allows her to share her knowledge with other students and teachers in an accessible, understandable, fun and relatable way. She also offers a specialization in Rehabilitation, providing an intensive academic purview of how the physical body impacts the overall Yoga discipline.

Since 2009 Zimmermann works simultaneously as Founder, Manager and Events Director of Health & Yoga in Zürich, organizing health & Yoga events and Recharge Retreats; as a Yoga Instructor with Airyoga in Zürich and as a Physiotherapist and Health Educator with children.
Zimmermann and her husband Eli have a son, Noah who is keen on being upside down at least twice a day.

Patrizia Arbenz, Switzerland

Dank ihrer zum Teil indischen Wurzeln, begleitet Patrizia Arbenz das Yoga und die indische Kultur seit ihrer Kindheit. Vor der Geburt ihrer Kinder arbeitete sie unter anderem als Ballettlehrerin, Choreographin und Fitnessinstruktorin. Zudem ist sie ausgebildete Regisseurin und war für das Fernsehen und den Film tätig. Sie unterrichtet seit 1999 Yoga und Meditation. Ihre Yogaausbildung absolvierte sie in Sydney, Australien, und in Zürich. Durch die vielen Auslandaufenthalte und Reisen (Australien, Amerika, Indien, Asien) traf Patrizia immer wieder auf die unterschiedlichsten Lehrer. Wichtig ist ihr Authentizität und so entwickelte sich ihr ganz eigener Stil, der von Hatha, Kundalini, Anusara, Vinyasa, Ki und Tri Yoga inspiriert ist. Dank der medizinischen Grundausbildung ist Patrizia als Yogatherapeutin zertifiziert und wird von den meisten Krankenkassen anerkannt.

Deddou Burkard, Switzerland

Deddou is the founder of popupyoga.ch in Zurich, Switzerland.
Coming from a dance background Deddou fell in love with yoga when she first discovered it in South Africa in 2009. Soon after she embarked on her 200 hours teacher training followed by her 100 hours advanced teacher training, both of which she completed at Laughing Lotus Yoga Studio in the heart of New York City. In 2015 Deddou expanded her teaching skills in a 200 hours Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training with Rae Indigo. Today Deddou’s yoga classes are an interesting fusion of dynamic Vinyasa Flow sprinkled with therapeutic yoga poses and alignment cues to not only lift your body and spirit, but also bring you deeper in your personal yoga practice.

 

Sue Elkind, USA

Sue is recognized internationally in the yoga community as a teacher’s teacher, with over 20 years of yoga experience. Her in-depth knowledge of alignment and therapeutics, along with her passion to teach from her heart, allows her students to expand their potential both physically and spiritually. Sue is an expert in prenatal and postnatal yoga and skilled in meditation. As an activist, Sue is dedicated to empowering women through yoga in all stages of life.


Sue is director of DIG Yoga’s 200 and 500 hour Teacher Training programs, and developed a Pre/Post Natal Training that she offers worldwide. She enjoys donating her time teaching fundraisers for various causes and has presented at festivals like Wanderlust, Global Mala, Namas Day, Bermuda Yoga Festival, and Recharge in the Swiss Alps. Sue is the author of DIG Pregnancy, Birth & Baby: A Conscious and Empowered Approach to Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga and has been featured on the video Yoga Mama, for Crunch Fitness, as well as Fit Pregnancy, W Magazine, and Spa Magazine.
Inspired by keeping great company, quality time in nature and her loving her family, Sue co-founded DIG Yoga in 2010 with Naime Jezzeny in Lambertville, NJ, and in 2012 in Philadelphia with Mariel Freeman, as a place to nourish the body, mind and heart with yoga.

Juhi Prasad, India

Zimmermann and her husband Eli have a son, Noah who is keen on being upside down at least twice a day.aJuhi is a Sivananda Yoga trained instructor and certified yoga therapist. She has taught at yoga and meditation retreats in southern India before setting up her own practice in Goa. She also specialises in teaching yoga to children with special needs.  
 
Juhi started yoga 15 years ago to help balance her former high-stress career in global investment banking. Her own experience has made Juhi appreciate the impact that yoga can have, not just on improving strength and flexibility of the body, but also on enhancing self awareness and calming the mind. She aims at imparting the same experience to her students.
 
Juhi teaches in the traditional hatha yoga style, combining meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises) with asanas (postures) to provide a practice that integrates body, mind and spirit.

When not teaching yoga, Juhi loves to explore different cultures through travel, food, literature and cinema.

 

Yvonne Harder, Switzerland

Vor gut 18 Jahren wurde der Funke für den Hatha-Yoga gezündet. Seither ist Yoga in meinem Alltag immer gegenwärtig. Ich lebe in Baar und bin Mutter einer bald 8-jährigen Tochter. Meine 3 ½ jährige Ausbildung absolvierte ich an der Yoga Universität in Villeret/CH von 2001 – 2005. Von 2006 – 2007 genoss ich bei Martina Bley eine Weiterbildung zum Thema Yoga in Gesundheitsförderung und Therapie. Zudem vertiefe ich meine eigene Praxis jährlich in Seminaren bei meinen LehrerInnen Reto Zbinden (Villeret) und Zahra Boutaleb (Paris). Seit 2002 unterrichte ich mit viel Freude und Engagement. Zusammen mit Béatrice Marzà eröffnete ich 2005 die Yoga-Oase in Baar.
