La Clairière - bio & spahotel
63, route d’Ingwiller 67290 La Petite Pierre
France
La Clairière is 2km from the village of La Petite Pierre in Alsace. It is set in the heart of the forests of the Vosges du Nord Nature Reserve, classified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
The forests of the Vosges du Nord are a graceful tapestry of oak, beech, Scots pine and alder trees, woven onto the mountainous landscape. The sandstone bedrock is veined with rivers and accommodates a variety of natural habitats hosting a distinct array of fascinating flora and fauna.
Discover the many treasures of the forest by taking a stroll or a bike ride along the network of forest paths around La Clairière. Besides being a picturesque village, La Petite Pierre is home to a 12th century château, a church, and museums of local arts, crafts and customs, official stamps and seals, and local Paganism.
Other popular places of interest in the local area include the troglodyte caves in Graufthal, the Judeo-Christian Museum and the distinct architecture of Alsatian houses in Bouxwiller, the Abbey at Neuwiller-les-Saverne, and the châteaux in Lichtenberg and Fleckenstein.
There is a golf course in Bitche. Last but not least, the region is famous for its glass and crystal, with exquisite works on display at the Meisenthal glassworks, the Lalique Museum and the Museum of St. Louis.
True to its name, La Clairière is nestled in a clearing near the edge of the forest. The contemporary design of the building perfectly complements the peace and tranquility of the location. Open your bedroom window and inhale the woody fragrance of the forest and the pure mountain air, bursting with oxygen. Our rooms fall into three categories: CLASSIQUE, CONFORT and SUPERIEURE.
The interior design was inspired by the natural surroundings. It plays on the natural beauty of wood, reflecting the tones and hues of the forest. For nights of peaceful slumber, all our beds have natural latex mattresses and bed linen made from organic wool and cotton.
All rooms are equipped with shower, WC, hairdryer, bathrobes and bath towels, complimentary slippers, shampoo and shower gel, Grander drinking water, kettle and organic herbal tea, minibar, safe, flat-screen TV, digital terrestrial television reception, telephone and free Internet access (wired in room; WIFI in communal areas).
At La Clairière, we believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The buffet is spread with fresh fruit and fruit juice, a selection of freshly baked breads, cheeses from the Alsace region, cereals, egg specialities, crèpes, homemade cakes and granola and many other surprises.
